March is National Craft Month — one of our favorite months of the year! This year, the focus of the festivities (sponsored by the Craft & Hobby Association) is crafting for a deeper sense of fulfillment and well-being. According to CHA, “Whether you craft to reduce stress, build self-esteem, or for the sheer satisfaction of creating something with your own hands — crafting provides benefits beyond the initial project.” We couldn’t agree more!
To celebrate National Craft Month, we’ll be highlighting new craft projects throughout the month, sharing special tips and tools, and featuring some of our favorite crafters. Check back often for holiday-themed projects, including Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day, and don’t miss unique birthday crafts for two popular children’s icons. After all, what better way to celebrate than with a special craft project?
If you’re eager to get started, you can always find inspiration in our archives. We’ve hand-picked some of our favorite posts below, but feel free to look around. Fun new projects are just around the corner.
How will you celebrate National Craft Month?
We’re excited about the opportunity to meet fellow crafters and customers at the Craft & Hobby Association Winter Conference January 29 and 30 in Los Angeles. As you may have heard, designer extraordinaire Mark Montano will be stopping by the Eclectic Booth to giveaway autographed copies of the “Big Ass Book of Home Decor.” But if you can’t attend CHA this year, we don’t want you to be left out of the fun.
One of our favorite things about being an exhibitor is talking to attendees — swapping crafting tips, hearing your feedback about Eclectic products, and listening to your ideas for upcoming projects. If you can’t make it to CHA, we’d still love to hear from you! And we want to give you the chance to get your hands on Montano’s latest book. We’ll even throw in a pack of E-6000, Amazing GOOP, QuickHOLD and EcoGlue to get you started on your new projects.
Enter to Win
We’ve got 3 autographed copies of Montano’s book, “The Big Ass Book of Home Decor” to giveaway. You can enter to win up to three times.
Here’s how that works:
- You get one entry if you tweet a link to this post (and mention @amazinggoop)
- “Like” us on Facebook for a second entry
- Finally, leave a comment here on the blog for a third entry, simply by answering the following questions:
- What new product would you most like to see from E-6000?
- What would be the most important features of this new product?
That’s it! Simple, right? We’ll take entries through midnight on the 30th of January (pacific time), drop all your names in a spreadsheet, and use a random number generator to select our winners.
We’re gearing up for our booth at the 2011 Craft & Hobby Association Winter Conference, held in Los Angeles, California on January 29 and 30. What could possibly be more exciting than CHA? A visit from designer extraordinaire, author, and TV host Mark Montano! We’re so excited to have our friend, Mark, stop by the Eclectic Products booth at CHA to meet fellow crafters and friends.
At the conference, Mark will discuss his upcoming book, “Pulp Fiction: Paper-Paper-Paper.” Mark will give away signed copies of his latest book “Big Ass Book of Home Decor” to the first 75 attendees. He’ll also be available for autographs at the Eclectic booth (#1029) from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m both days.
A long-time supporter of Eclectic Products, Mark is a fan of E-6000 and GOOP in all forms. And we’re big fans of Mark, too! We’ve featured several of his projects on the Eclectic blog over the years and we’re looking forward to sharing projects from his new book. Can’t wait that long to try out a Mark Montano project? You can get started on one of these fun projects from our archives today!
If you’re planning to attend CHA, let us know, and don’t forget to stop by Eclectic booth #1029.
