DIY Felt Valentine’s Wreath

With winter here to stay for a few more weeks, I started searching for the perfect DIY project to make something bright and crafty for Valentine’s Day. Thanks to Classy Clutter by Mallory & Savannah, I found an easy-to-make, fun project: a felt Valentine’s Day wreath!

What You’ll Need

  • Thick cardboard
  • Krylon red Dual Paint + Primer
  • Pink/magenta felt circles
  • Red felt circles
  • Scissors
  • E-6000 glue
  • Valentine’s themed ribbon

Easy Instructions

  1. Cut a heart out of thick cardboard. Then gently fold the heart in half and cut out the center.
  2. To make sure the cardboard is completely covered, spray paint the heart with the red spray paint.
  3. Next, take one of your felt circles and fold it in half, then fold it in half again. Take your scissors to cut the pointed tip off and then apply a big dot of E-6000.
  4. Wait a few seconds to let the glue get tacky, and then apply to the spray-painted heart. Repeat steps 3 and 4, alternating the colors, until the heart is completely covered. You can alternate directions of the felt pieces as well to give the wreath a little more texture and variation.
  5. Once your heart is completely covered and dried, take about an 8-inch piece of ribbon and glue it to the cardboard back of the wreath at the top of the heart.

Voila! You have an adorable Valentine’s Day wreath to perk up the winter grays!
